What does it filter out? Over 40 Heavy metals & potentially dangerous substances in the water including lead, arsenic, fluoride, benzene, mercury and cadmium. see full list of filtered substances by clicking here What are the Dimensions of the Alkal Life? Actual unit size is: 10.5” wide 14.5” high 5.5” deep What is the filter life? Approximately 6 months. The unit will let you know when it is ready for a new filter. What is the best pH to take my medications with? The 'purified' water setting which is pH 7.0. This will work neutrally with medications. How often does the unit need to be cleaned? This is a self-cleaning system, so it goes through the cleaning cycle every 5 gallons which adds to the life of the unit. Also, every time you turn it on or off it goes through a short 10-30 second drain cycle. |

Can I run hot and cold water through the unit?
Only cold water. Hot water damages the interior parts. A warning will come on if you use hot water. Same is true for all Ionizing machines.
What are the pH levels available from this device?
Alkaline water has 4 levels – 8.5, 9.5, 10 and 10.5. The higher alkalinity is not for regular drinking but great for cooking, teas and coffee.
Acidic water can be created at 3.5 and 5.5 .
While the unit produces alkaline water, it’s also shedding a mildly acidic water. You can collect this water for plants, cleaning and cleansing, face washing, great for cuts, scrapes and abrasions. ((The kids won’t cry when you use acidic water for their boo-boo's))
What happens when I drink the alkaline water?
When you drink the Alkal Life Alkaline water, it helps to remove toxins from the water that is already in the body (similarly to the BioMat) so you are now attacking oxidation from the inside out with the water system and from the outside in with bio mat – removing those free radicals.
What is ORP?
ORP – this is actually more important than the pH level. Oxidation Reduction Potential – ORP of municipal water is generally POSITVE 150 – 350. With our device – drawing water through the system we get a NEGATIVE 600-900 ORP level.
In ORP's case, the negative numbers are the ones we want. A minus -800 ORP is more powerfully able to REDUCE the oxidation effects than a score of +100.
Oxidation rusts pipes and apples when they’re cut. And that same process happens in the human body – too much oxidation breaks down the body just as oxidation breaks down the apple! We are looking to have lower ORP numbers, thereby reducing our own oxidation (or aging). Our unit has been tested to confirm the ORP.

Can I continue to drink my Soda's and balance their low pH with alkaline water?
Not really. Utilizing the water system means committing to a life style change. You need to really make changes – you can’t drink a glass of water in the morning and then drink coke all the rest of the day.
pH is so important; the body works very hard to keep the balance …drinking alkaline water is a must.
What does pH, blood and osteoporosis have to do with Alkaline water?
If the blood pH becomes to low from acidic diets of meats, fish, excessive nuts, soda's and the like, it will grab the necessary components to balance out this equation.
The quickest and easiest 'convenience store' in the body is the calcium stored in the bones. Calcium will neutralize the low pH. And the body WILL take it from the bones to balance the blood pH every chance it gets. The acidic 'diet' of many people is the leading culprit in osteoporosis.
Can I store the alkaline/acidic water I make?
YES. Alkaline water holds best in a glass bottle – the pH remains roughly stable for 3 days – drink it at room temperature.
The pH lasts for about 30 days in a glass container, slowly loosing its alkalinity and about a week in plastic.
The ORP value though, only lasts about 3 days in glass and around a day in plastic. The ORP is the more important factor in this whole water equation.
What are the best containers to store and travel with alkaline water?
Non-reactive containers like glass, steel, & some ceramics are best for ANY kind of water. Other containers often leach their other properties intot he water. Avoid using plastic bottles that contain Bi Phenol A (BPA). It is a known trouble maker in the body & has been outlawed in baby toys and bottles for years. As we are becoming more “green” and earth friendly by not buying water in plastic bottles, we are contributing to a smaller environmental impact.
I had heard that reverse osmosis was the best water to drink, what about that?
Reverse osmosis strips all the minerals out of the water and also makes it vibrationally 'dead' and looses it's life force in the process. It may be re-mineralized after the fact, but like distilled water it is still flat and lifeless at that point. Better to leave the minerals in there in the first place AND gain the benefits of the high pH to all the body systems.
Reverse osmosis water also tends to have low pH numbers and high ORP figures as well. Just the opposite of what the body requires.
Bamboo salt may also be used to enhance or replenish missing minerals in the water, no matter what water you use.

Can I use this water system if I have a well?
YES. However like all Ionizing machines you will need a pre-filter to help get rid of larger particulates. An S filter can be specially ordered though us for this pre-stage filtration. Your local water may need more minerals in it to fully ionize the water, as many local area waters have become de-mineralized by modern living.. This is also taken care of by the S filter from Richway. Contact us for more information.
